The answer is sometimes so simple that it is often overlooked by the masses…Lack of knowledge and fundamental education about your online business in addition to understanding that it will take time to show results are the key answers. Sure you have seen the hype pitched like the photo above about people making six figure income in 30 days or less selling “whack a mole” products. When in reality that person is not the norm but more the exception to the rule.
Another idea to consider is whether you are serious about your online business. A large majority of ‘newbies’ expect to do very little work, spend just an hour or so a week and still reap the benefits of the six figure income. They jump at every sales pitch that shows how easy it is with little or no work involved. Their eyes glaze over when they see the big fancy cars and country estates. Often they are expecting a complete online business in a box…just load in your computer and watch the dollars begin to come out.
The more serious entrepeneur has probably already experienced the lack of a six figure income with more days left at the end of the month and no money left! This has become a painful lesson that also can be used to motivate you for success at the same time. With today’s economic turmoil of constantly increasing food and gasoline prices many are faced with the ‘more week then money agony’ each and every month so finding that quick online business in a box becomes a frantic dance with the hype sellers.
How many hype sellers have you found that offer a free opportunity to join? Only to find out later that there is a monthly service fee, site setup fee, maintenance fee or worse the just follow simple instructions…that they somehow never get around to giving you. If you haven’t seen those hype sellers yet you will at some point. Most of the hype sellers do not understand what it takes to run a network marketing or direct sales business. They are too busy looking for the next guy. Especially after they have gotten your hard earned money. You are left to find out the cold hard facts for yourself because almost immediately they stop returning your calls and emails.
If nothing else is taken from this article remember the words “Do Your Homework”. All that glitters is not gold. Before agreeing to part with your hard earned money investigate the leadership behind the marketing system. Attend training sessions if they are available. Listen in on opportunity calls. Don’t just do one and be done. Do a couple to get the real feel of the leadership.
