Homemade Beauty Tips

A Facial mask.

There are a number of homemade beauty recipes you can make in your own home. You don’t have to buy commercial products to have really great-looking skin.
In fact, homemade beauty recipes are genuinely healthier and more effective than commercially purchased products. Some commercial products can do more harm than good and they are loaded with chemicals that could add harm to your skin. The worst part of it all is you have no guarantee that they will even work. Save your skin and try homemade beauty recipes.

Lets begin with a facial ~

A papaya facial mask is among the most popular homemade beauty recipes.

You’ll need the following ingredients:

½ cup of mashed papaya

1 whipped egg white

1 tsp of honey.

If you have sensitive skin, cool it down with a teaspoon of plain yogurt. Wash your facial skin before applying. Leave on five to eight minutes giving the papaya enzymes time to exfoliate the skin. Rinse with warm water and then follow up with a cool water rinse. Pat dry.

Hair Soother ~

For hair an herbal vinegar rinse can restore PH balance, clear up oily hair and remove the residue left by beauty products.

Place 2 sprigs of lavender and two sprigs of rosemary in two cups of water in a clean jar.  Allow the jar and mixture to steep in the sun for two to four and then remove the herbs. Add either a two tablespoons of white vinegar or apple cider vinegar to the mixture then apply like shampoo.

Herbal Bath Salts ~

Herbal bath salts are another easy homemade beauty recipe. Mix together a cup of sea salt and whatever herbs you like. You can use lavender, rosemary, spearmint, or peppermint. Grind them in a coffee grinder until they are a fine powder. Mix in the sea salt and dump into your next bath for a relaxing charge.

A similar homemade beauty recipe is a flower foot soak. You will need sea salt, some slices of citrus fruit (oranges, lemons, etc) and a handful of flower petals. Fill a basin with lukewarm water.  Add the sea salt, flower petals and fruit slices. Soak ten minutes and pat dry.

Who needs the spa when you can save money, make the facial, bath and hair remedies in your own home.  Use the money you save to treat the family to a night at the movies or maybe ordering pizza and staying in for a movie.
