How Do You Protect Your Kids From Pedophiles – Online And At Home?

book cover small How Do You Protect Your Kids From Pedophiles?I never have nor will I ever understand these monsters. Unfortunately, in this day and age, we need to learn to protect our kids more than ever. This is something I feel very passionate about and just want parents to educate themselves more on things to look for.

God love our kids; they are so loving and trusting so we have to do whatever is necessary to keep them safe.It is important to remember that children are more likely to be abused by someone they know and trust than by a stranger, but many people still find this hard to believe.

Children are not able to totally protect themselves from , so it is necessary for parents to do all they can to educate and protect their children from adults who may take advantage. A balanced approach is so important because children also need caring adults who take an interest in them and who can be a wonderful bonus to their lives.

How can you protect your ?

1. Be suspicious if an adult seems more interested in spending time with your than with you and is offering ways to be alone with him/her.
2. Be leary of people who are overly kind, affectionate or loving towards your or who give your lots of gifts. Most people have good intentions but just keep your radar on.
3. Be choosy about leaving your children with others. Ask your how they feel about that person and watch there behavior after spending time with them especially if it is frequent.
4. Teach your children about different parts of the body and which are their own private parts. Teach them to tell someone they trust if anyone, even someone they know very well, ever tries to touch their private parts or suggests something they don’t want to do which makes them feel scared or bad.
5. Teach your kids to yell, scream, kick and run if they get scared and that if it turns out they are wrong, it was okay!
6. Tell your kids its not acceptable to keep secrets and they can always come to you with anything. Let your kids be comfortable about talking to you about anything even if it makes you uncomfortable.
7. If your kids walk to school or any activity, see to it they go with someone else; don’t let them walk alone.
8. Always know where your is going and tell them if they become frightened to go to the nearest house and ask them to call the police. They should also know your phone number or a number of someone you trust if your not available.
9. Always answer your children’s questions honestly and at a level that they can understand, even if you are embarrassed.
10. Teach your children about some of the dangers in using on-line chat rooms. Explain why you are concerned. Do the research and find out how you can have more control with your children’s use of the internet.
11. Never, ever leave your alone in a room with a computer connected to the Internet.
12. Children should never upload a picture of themselves to the Internet.
Things we teach our children will help, but they will not guarantee your ’s protection. Children are not able to totally protect themselves. It is up to adults to do this.
